Two Retro Stages Return!

Hey everyone!
Two retro stages return as paid DLC for Smash Bros today!
The first is Peach's Castle from the Mario series! This stage features a castle in the middle of it! It is also the first location for my Smash Battle series!

Up next is Hyrule Castle, a reoccurring castle in the Legend of Zelda series!

Both of these castles/stages are from the original 'Super Smash Bros' on the Nintendo 64!
Like the Mii FIghter costumes, they are also out now on the Nintendo eShop!

99 amiibo Supported in Super Mario Maker!

Hey everyone!

99 amiibo are to be supported in Super Mario Maker in pixelated form! This includes Link, Kirby, Peach, Isabelle, Marth, Yoshi, Bowser and Wii Fit Trainer!
So far, the Mii Fighters are the only characters not be to included, but this could be wrong, a simple update could add these fighters!

What's a Slosher?

Hey everyone!

Two new types of weapons hit Splatoon next week, and one of them are Sloshers!
Sloshers look like buckets of ink and you can throw them great distances!

Private Battles are a new gamemode where you can secure a lobby in Splatoon for all of your friends! To make it extra secure, a 4 digit password can be required to gain access to the game! Try a better password then 0123...

You can also choose the mode (Turf War, Splat Zones or Tower Control) and the stage!

Twin Squads, Tri Squads and Quad Squads!

Hey everyone!
In the next Splatoon Update, a new type of Battle, Squad battles are introduced!
There are three types! And they are...
Twin Squads! Where you and a friend team up with another twin squad against another two twin squads!

Quad Squads! Where you and three other friends take on another Quad Squad!

Tri Squads! For those 2 friends and you who think they can handle the challenge of 3 vs 4!

Smash Bros Updates Friday!

Hey everyone!
Smash Bros is updating this Friday for a massive update!
New DLC, a gamemode and YouTube compatiblility will be introduced this Friday!
First up is the new gamemode!
Tourney mode is a knockout mode in Smash Bros! It is also online, where you face off against others across the world!

There is also more stages and fighter costumes headed for Smash too!
First up are the DLC costumes!
Chrom is included as a Mii Fighter costume (Swordfighter) who is from the Fire Emblem series!

A nod to the Donkey Kong Country series with King K. Rool receiving a Mi Fighter costume! Could he still return as DLC?

A red hoodie is also included, for all fighter types!

Stages returning from Smash Bros 64 are also going to be released!
First is Peach's Castle!

And also Hyrule Castle!

Also, you can post to YouTube your replays of your battles!
I'll be holding a Smash Bros knockout Championship!
Each Smash character will face off over the next few weeks, every Wednesday and Saturday with a 4 player smash!
See you on Saturday with the first!
and on Friday with the update news!

Splatoon's Mega Update!

Hey everyone!

A mega update is coming to Splatoon next Thursday, the 6th of August!

Two new Ranked Battle ranks are introduced, including rank S and S+. The level cap has also been raised to level 50 regular battle too!

Over 40 new items are also going to appear, including a sushi chef apron!

Also, a new team matchmaking setup will be released also, where you can secure a lobby for all of your friends, having 2-8 players play against each other, with you picking the stage! You can also, you and your team of four friends can verse each other too!

As I mentioned before, two new weapon types are also available top next Thursday!

This isn't the end of Splatoon also, more and more items are still on their way for both August and Spring!

Happy Home Designer!

Hey everyone!

On October 3, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is set to release for the 3DS!

There is heaps of things planned for this date, and they include:

A bundle with a New Nintendo 3DS, amiibo Cards and the game is included, to be released on the day!

The first wave of amiibo cards also release on the 3rd of October!

Also, two cover plates, including a K. K. Slider cover plate will release then too!

Don't forget, a NFC reader for all amiibo will be introduced in October also, alongside everything here!

Rainmaker, Stages, Gear and Weapons for Splatoon

Hey everyone!

In a Japanese Commercial for Splatoon detailing the upcoming August Splatoon update, new gear, weapons, stages and even a mode were revealed! Let's look at the list!
First up is the new Game Mode!

Splatoon is getting a third type of Ranked Battle, called Rainmaker!
Rainmaker is a new gamemode, coming soon to Splatoon!
Other stuff announced include:

• Two New Stages, shown above, based off a Bridge and Apartments
• New Gear
• A 'Logo Aloha' shirt
• A Straw Hat
• Three new weapons!
• The Rainmaker, used somehow in Rainmaker mode
• The Ink Bucket
• and the Gatling Standard

This could just be the start of heaps of new things for Splatoon! We'll find out more soon!

What Do You Think? - Splatoon Stages

Hey everyone!
It's time again for another 'What Do You Think?'!

Today's question is about Splatoon!

What new Stages would you like to see in Splatoon?

This is because of Camp Triggerfish releasing this weekend and also 2 more stages, a bridge and apartment stage, being shown off in a Japanese commercial for Splatoon for the Rainmaker mode, I'll look at this ad a little later!
First up could be a Castle stage!

Imagine spreading ink all around a castle like Hogwarts or Peach's Castle! That would be heaps of fun! It could even be called Clownfish Castle!
Next up is a Water Park stage!

Like Mario Kart 8's Water Park, you could spread ink down waterslides and throughout beaches at a waterpark! Stage Name - Whapuku Waterpark
There could also be a Theme Park course!

Of course you couldn't have both a Water and Theme Park in the same game, but one of the two would be great! Rollercoasters could be in the background and you have to dodge carnival tents and Merry go rounds also! Stage Name - Turtle Park
Next is a Marina course!

A Marina course would be close to Port Mackerel, but would focus more on a laid back surfing and shopping area, with boats and piers to run around! Stage Name - Manta Marina or Plankton Pier
The last course we could include would be a Stadium course!

The stage wouldn't be completely empty, and boxes or walls could be scattered around the course as obstacles to climb! Stage name - Starfish Stadium

Camp Triggerfish Opens Tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

Another brand new stage joins the rotation tomorrow, it is Camp Triggerfish!
Camp Triggerfish looks to freshen gameplay by adding a few new mechanics, such as floodgates and an extremely difficult Tower Control mode, held all over water!
Camp Triggerfish joins the rotation at 12pm (Noon) AEST tomorrow!

Neo Splash-O-Matic and E-Litre 3K Scope arrive Today! (50th Post!)

Hey everyone!

Another 2 weapons arrive on Splatoon today! The Neo Splash-O-Matic and the E-Litre 3K Scope!
The Neo Splash-O-Matic looks very similar to the Splash-O-Matic, although it has the Inkzooka as a Special and Burst Bombs for a quick attack!

The other weapon to arrive is the E-Litre 3K Scope! It is the same as the E-Litre 3K, with both the Echolocater and Burst Bombs. However, with an added Scope, you can get the best range with this new weapon!

Both weapons are out now!

Eating Wins!

Hey everyone!

In Splatoon's Second Splatfest, Eating has Defeated Sleeping by 18 points!
Eating came out on top of the popularity vote, with 63% of Europe and Oceaina's Splatoon players preferring it to Sleeping's 37%.
However, with a 4% margin, Sleeping came out on top for the most wins, winning 52% to 48%! That is close!
That made everyone think, can Eating still win?
The score ended up as Eating on 159 points, defeating Sleeping with 141 points!

The N'Zap '89 abd Octobrush Arrive!

Hey everyone!

Two new weapons are now available in Splatoon!
First up is the N'Zap '89!

The N'Zap '89 is similar to the N'Zap '85 except it is orange and white, not grey. The N'Zap '89 also features an Inkstrike for a special and a Sprinkler as a sub!
The other weapon available is the Octobrush!

The Octobrush is similar to the Inkbrush, although it can spread a lot more ink with it's thicker bristles! The Octobrush has Squid Beacons for a sub and the almighty Kraken for a Special!

Satoru Iwata Dies, aged 55

Hey everyone...
I'm sad to say that Nintendo's CEO and president, Satoru Iwata, has died at 55 years old because of cancer.

He was one of Nintendo's best, showing the world to glasses-free 3D and also the best selling Wii console. He will be sadly missed...
