Meow!

Hey everyone!
Team Cats has won the sixth Splatfest on Splatoon! Yay!
The result began with the Popularity Vote!
As I have with all Splatfests since North vs South Pole, I was on the least popular team, and Team Dogs won against Team Cats 54% to 46%.
All hope was not lost, I remember the battles being very close when I was playing so the Splatfest could of gone either way!
Congratulations to Team Cats with their thrashing win over Team Dogs in the Win Vote, winning 56% to 44%!
And the winner is...
Team Cats!
Team Cats has defeated Team Dogs 270 points to 230!
So far, my Splatfest results are 4-1!
So that's it for this Splatfest!
Bad luck to Team Dogs and Congratulations to my team again, Team Cats!
See you later!

Splatfest Moments (Cats vs Dogs)

Hey everyone!
The Cats vs Dogs Splatfest is still on Now in Splatoon!
As I have with the last 2 Splatfests, here are some of my favourite 'Splatfest Moments' of the sixth Splatfest, Cats vs Dogs!
First up, my cat, named Pancake, looks like he's playing for Team Cats!
Up next is the first match I played today! I'm at Moray Towers with a 68.7% thrashing against Team Dogs! This also takes the prize for the biggest win for me at this Splatfest!
Next up we're at Walleye Warehouse with the closest win for Team Cats against Team Dogs! Equalling the closest win of last Splatfest is this 0.7% win!
Hats off to Team Dogs for this ultimate defeat, beating us, Team Cats, by 68.5% also at Walleye Warehouse!
My last battle today was at Saltspray Rig. Team Cats sadly lost my last battle by Team Dogs doubling our score.
On the bright side, I am now a Cat King! Yay!
There is still time left in the sixth Splatfest!
Keep on battling for the next 11 hours (until 4am, AEST, Monday) to make your side win!
See you tomorrow with the results!

The Leaky Tap - Octolings and Shovel Knight

Hey everyone!
Welcome to my new series, The Leaky Tap!
The Leaky Tap, like What Do You Think?, will be held every 3 Sunday!
The Leaky Tap is all about leaks and rumours of the past 3 weeks! We all know that all rumours should be taken with a grain of salt, as not every rumour is true and some are just way left of field...
Today's rumours relate to Octolings and Shovel Knight!
Rumour #01: Octolings in Splatoon?
The first rumour is that Octolings could soon be playable Online in Splatoon. Evil hacker, which can damage your Splatoon account, have worked out how to play as Octolings online, implying that they could be added at some time. Also, reportedly, the Japan Splatfest team have been hinting that Octolings have been playable. Could we see Octolings playable in a new big update?
Rumour #02: Shovel Knight in Smash?
This rumour seems as plausible as the rumour above. Shovel Knight, the popular indie game character, could be playable in Splatoon! There has been unprecedented popularity in the Smash Ballot, but this isn't the only reason. On the North American amiibo site, Shovel Knight was accidentally listed under amiibo supported in Smash Bros. The only way amiibo work in Smash is as playable Figure Players as characters in the game. This then leads to Shovel Knight to being playable in the game!
Could these leaks be possible?
Check out:
18/10: Splatfest #06: Cats vs Dogs
25/10: What Do You Think?
1/11: New, The Leaky Tap
See you later!

Introducing SplatNet!

Hey everyone!
A brand new online network has been released for Splatoon, and it is called SplatNet!
There is quite a bit on SplatNet, including a friends list, rankings and more!
Here is what you can do on SplatNet!
First up is the Friends List option! By adding friends in game, you can organise a time that suits you and your friend to battle in Splatoon!
Next up are the rankings!
Rankings are reset every Sunday and is calculated by the Number of Wins multiplied by your Win Rate! Mine for Turf War sits on 17!
Next up is the equipment space!
Here you can see what gear you are wearing and what weapon you are using! Your Rank and Level are also here!
You can also check out how much area you have inked in total with a weapon!
My top 3 include:
The Aerospray MG - 131,299p
Neo Splash-O-Matic - 106,422p
NES Zapper '89 - 88,567p
My Aerospray MG Stat of 131,299p is the same as completely covering Camp Triggerfish 56 and a half times or completely covering Blackbelly Skatepark 85 and a half times! That's heaps!
Next up is where you can find out the Stage Rotation schedule!
Right now (4:30pm, AEDST), we have Urchin Underpass and the Kelp Dome as our stages for Regular Battle!
By using this site, we can see that between 9pm (6/10, AEDST) and 1am (7/10, AEDST) that Saltspray Rig and Bluefin Depot will be playable!
You can check out the stages for the current and next two rotations by logging on to SplatNet!
You can even see what Ranked Battle mode is available, such as Tower Control being playable at 5pm - 9pm today (6/10)!
Also, as a note, chances are we won't see another Splatfest announced until next week. Could this mean our Splatfest topic will be a crossover and be the best one yet?
Hope you enjoy using SplatNet!

Messy Wins

Hey everyone!
Congratulations to Team Messy for defeating my team, Team Tidy, in a convincing 28 point victory!
Here's all the results summed up in a helpful infographic!
First up was the popularity vote, which team would have the most people supporting it?
Judging by the amount of people laying and no repeat battles for me, I thought that Team Messy would beat us, as they did, 56% to 44%.
All was not lost, in the last two Splatfests, Team South Pole and Team Singing both losing the popularity vote.
However, Team Messy took the Wins vote in a nail-biting 52% to 48% victory!
That leads to the 264-236 victory for Team Messy!
Bad luck, Team Tidy....
See you later!

Splatfest Moments (Messy vs Tidy!)

Hey everyone!
I'm a Tidy King! Yay!
Last Splatfest, in Singing vs Dancing, I had a 'Splatfest Moments' post (check it out here!) with my favourite times at the Splatfest! I became a Singing King, has a Vibe meter through the roof and a crushing 74% margin victory!
Today I've had heaps of fun playing on Team Tidy!
My first battle of the day was a win! I was at Hammerhead Bridge, out newly for the Splatfest!
It was pretty convincing too!
Next up was my Biggest Win! Also on Hammerhead Bridge was a 77.6% to 12.7% thumping of team Messy! Great work guys!
The next battle was definitely an arm-wrestle! In a nail-biting close 0.7% victory to Team Tidy, this is the closest match of the Splatfest for me! There was only 10 battle points between us! So close!
After more battling, I had reached my final battle at Urchin Underpass!
I can say that I started and finished with a win, in a convincing 53.3 to 34.2 win at the Underpass!
It's here where I became a Tidy King! :D
It's up to you guys to keep Team Tidy on it's great winning spree!
Good luck Team Messy and Go Team Tidy!
There is just under half of the Splatfest to go!
As a side note, congrats to Team Art in America for coming out on top against Team Science in a 255 (51 pop, 51 win) to 245 (49 pop, 49 win) victory! Picasso would be proud!
Good luck out there, squids for our Splatfest!
